My early game budget kit is an SKS with a 20 rounder, but my favorite budget kit of all time is a 6B3TM, a ssh-68, and a P90 (only 50k). Just W + m1 your way through a fight. If you can't afford a P90, a good ol Mp5 is also great, and you can buy it with brown knives you find on scavs. Ak/VPO with 7.62 bp or .366 AP.

As far as cursed guns go - each weapon has slots for different attachments, and those attachments have slots for other attachment (eg handguards have rails). Pick a gun, start buying attachments to put on it, and have fun. There are a couple of mods that will allow you to put any attachment into any slot. Would recommend for a good time.I have experienced tagged and cursed on a raid where I was fully geared. No clue what was the trigger in this case and probably a bug. If you put gear on, it breaks the tag. Say you kill a few scavs and toss on a rig or armor.
