He joined the Civil Engineering Department of IST in 1990, as a Student Lecturer, and is currently Assistant Professor of Bridges, Design of Structures and Special Structures. In 1999, he was Researcher at Liège University / Bureau d’Etudes Greisch and, in 2015, Visiting Professor at EPFL Lausanne.
